  • Tutoring for The Reading Group

    • TRG is a not-for-profit organization begun 47 years ago to serve students who are not “typical” learners.

    • TRG currently serves ~70 students ranging in age from pre-K to adult, who seek improvement reading, math, and general academics.

    • The most popular time for students to participate in a one-hour per week session is immediately after school when school is in session.

  • The Reading Group has part-time positions available for experienced, certified special education teachers, to provide one-on-one instruction for students with learning disabilities, especially dyslexia. Must be available to provide tutoring two or more days Monday through Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. with some Saturdays optional.

Prospective tutors must submit a resume, references and a cover letter to jhinton@readinggroup.org.

    • Each teaching room has a security camera to protect teachers and children.

    • Students are scheduled through The Reading Group and most meet on-site at The Reading Group.

    • As a TRG tutor, the curriculum, the teaching room, initial assignment of clients, billing, and payroll are done for you.
