Charitee Day at Stone Creek Golf Course
The Reading Group, along with 17 other non-profit organizations in our community, had the opportunity to raise money on October 17th at the Charitee Day at Stone Creek Golf Course in Urbana.
The Reading Group was assigned the second hole and was given the chance to promote awareness about our learning center and raise funds for our scholarship fund. Horizon Hobby Distributors and Blager Concrete generously supported the Reading Group by donating $250 each as a hole sponsor for the Reading Group.
All proceeds from the day including greens fee, cart rental, driving range revenues and profits from food and beverages were donated back to a “charity pool” and divided evenly among the 18 participating non-profit organizations. The Reading Group would like to thank Stone creek Golf Course as well as Horizon Hobby and Blager Concrete for their support.
